About the role#
The Arena Administrative Events Intern supports daily operations and promotional efforts at EagleBank Arena. This paid, part-time, seasonal position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports facility management and event execution.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-of operations and pre-event preparations for all events.
- Shadow managers during live events to learn facility management processes.
- Support administrative functions, including answering phones, managing office inventory, and assisting with research projects.
- Help compose and distribute monthly event calendars and build event publicity content.
- Maintain the professional appearance of public and promoter-facing spaces.
- Assist with equipment setup and support usher staff training.
- Maintain event history documentation and learn internal software systems.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student at George Mason University.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks under deadlines.
- High attention to detail.
- Graphic design experience is considered a plus.
