About the role#
The Game Entertainment Intern supports the Wizards entertainment teams in creating an engaging fan experience during Washington Wizards home games and events. This is a paid, part-time position focused on the operational and creative aspects of game night production.
What you'll do#
- Assist in maintaining high-quality game night shows for all Wizards home games and events.
- Provide administrative organization and day-to-day operations support.
- Organize and maintain the costume and prop closet for entertainment teams.
- Assist with the organization and execution of dance team rehearsals, appearances, and events.
- Support social media management tasks, including content gathering, organizing, and ideation.
- Provide high-quality customer service to guests to enhance their overall entertainment experience.
What you'll need#
- Availability to work 20-25 hours per week between September and May.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to function as a great teammate.
- Previous experience in dance teams, game entertainment, or related fields is recommended but not required.
- Graphic design, video editing, and social media content creation experience are considered a plus.
