About the role#
The Arena Experience Intern supports the Guest Experience, Suites, and Guest Services teams. This role offers hands-on experience in event operations and guest services within a live-event environment. Interns assist with daily administrative tasks and event preparation to ensure a high-quality experience for guests at Capital One Arena.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and execute game days and arena events.
- Support part-time staff operations, including event check-in, logistics, and general event preparation.
- Maintain accurate staff and event records.
- Provide scheduling support and handle administrative tasks using internal systems.
- Prepare event materials such as signage, staffing sheets, and operational documents.
- Manage inventory for uniforms and event-related supplies.
- Provide front-line customer service by assisting guests and team members with questions, directions, and issue resolutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Sports Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in live events, sports, and guest experience operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes.

- Location: Washington, District of Columbia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
- Status: Paid, part-time, seasonal internship.
