About the role#
The Intern for Youth Basketball Camps and Clinics assists in coordinating, preparing, and managing youth basketball programs. This role provides hands-on experience in sports management, event logistics, and youth engagement by supporting daily operations and ensuring a positive experience for participants.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the setup, breakdown, and organization of camp equipment and supplies.
- Support staff and coaches with daily logistics, including registration and check-in processes.
- Help prepare necessary materials for clinics and instructional events.
- Assist with grassroots outreach efforts to promote developmental programs within the community.
- Identify and recommend potential locations for future events.
- Maintain the cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all youth participants during activities.
- Support communication efforts with participants, parents, and staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds safely.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
- A passion for youth sports and community engagement.
- Reliability and the ability to carry out assigned tasks independently.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Preferred majors include Kinesiology, Real Estate, Psychology, or Business Administration.
