About the role#
The Social Media Intern will support the Digital Team of the Capital City Go-Go. This position offers hands-on experience in the sports industry, focusing on content creation and digital strategy for the team's social media accounts.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the ideation, planning, and creation of engaging social media content.
- Collaborate with the Digital Media Team to implement social-first content ideas.
- Monitor social media trends to identify new content opportunities.
- Pull social media analytics reports for tentpole events.
- Capture real-time photo and video content at games and community events.
- Draft, schedule, and publish posts across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube.
- Maintain the organization of the content calendar and digital assets.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate status.
- Experience in social media publishing for a team, brand, or company.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects.
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Academic background in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or Graphic Design.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 (September 2026 to May 2027).
- Commitment: 25 hours per week, including most Capital City Go-Go games, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
