About the role#
The Premium Experience and Engagement intern will support the Business Operations team at Capital One Arena. This role provides on-the-job experience in arena hospitality and premium experience management, including scheduling, event setup, and organizing uniforms for the concierge team. This is a paid, part-time, and seasonal position.
What you'll do#
- Support concierge and front-of-house staff with guest inquiries and requests.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere in all premium spaces.
- Support event-day and non-event-day operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement revenue-generating initiatives.
- Assist in fulfilling contracted assets such as autographed merchandise, suite nights, and tickets.
- Conduct walkthroughs to identify and report facility issues.
- Analyze market trends and research potential growth areas.
- Support the execution of company events and promotions.
- Take, organize, and edit proof-of-performance photos for games and events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Experience in hospitality, food, and beverage sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships.
- Reliable transportation and housing.

- Location: Washington, District of Columbia.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the Washington Wizards and Capitals seasons.
- Academic Focus: Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Psychology, or Sociology.
