About the role#
The Internal Communications Intern will support the Executive Vice President and the communications team in sharing company news and stories with internal and external audiences. This role involves coordinating across various brand teams to elevate the profile of company executives and employees while maintaining consistent messaging.
What you'll do#
- Draft, edit, and distribute internal communication materials and newsletters.
- Support internal campaigns and track key performance indicators related to employee engagement.
- Maintain departmental tracking grids, including editorial calendars and lists of upcoming conferences or awards.
- Update and refresh website materials.
- Assist with logistics for industry events, speaking engagements, and award opportunities.
- Provide support at games, concerts, and live events at Capital One Arena and EagleBank Arena as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student status.
- Coursework or previous internship experience in public relations, journalism, corporate communications, or sports management.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce both long and short form content.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Knowledge of the sports business industry, current issues, and relevant topics.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
