About the role#
The Digital Media Intern will assist the team with day-to-day coverage of the Washington Capitals. This position focuses on supporting social media strategy, content creation, and digital platform management to drive fan engagement.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily digital media operations, including on-site responsibilities during game nights.
- Support the development of social media strategy, monitor trends, and track performance metrics for reporting.
- Create graphics and copy for social media platforms, the team website, and email communications.
- Capture real-time photo and video content at practices, games, and community events.
- Assist with the shooting and editing of video content for official team channels.
What you'll need#
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Creative experience using Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Premiere, and Lightroom.
- Introductory knowledge of photography and video shooting or editing.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately and on time.
- Reliable transportation and local housing.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, or Graphic Design.
