About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our team as a Supply Chain Operations Intern in Syracuse. You will work directly with our logistics specialists to support daily operations and gain hands-on experience in freight forwarding.
What you'll do#
- Support branch import operations by opening shipment files and filing ISF entries.
- Match freight loads with carrier options.
- Track active shipments and maintain data accuracy through regular entry and analysis.
- Communicate with carriers and agents to build partnerships.
- Negotiate pricing and prepare quotes for our clients.
- Assist with industry research and participate in team meetings to learn our internal processes.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising undergraduate student majoring in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in negotiating with service providers and solving problems is preferred.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
