About the role#
This is a full-time co-op position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The program runs from January 18, 2027, through June 25, 2027. You will join the Immuno-Oncology Research team to support the development of mRNA-based drugs for cancer therapy. You will work on an individual project with the guidance of an experienced mentor.
What you'll do#
- Partner with lab scientists to learn and apply core cell and molecular biology techniques.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments supporting Immuno-Oncology programs.
- Perform research activities including primary cell isolation, cell culture, ELISA/MSD assays, cell-based functional assays, flow cytometry, and tissue processing.
- Present your work to program teams and participate in department meetings.
- Maintain a safe laboratory environment and keep an organized electronic lab notebook.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a STEM field such as Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or BioEngineering.
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Technical experience in mammalian tissue culture, cell transfection, protein detection methods, and assay troubleshooting is preferred.
- Prior experience in flow cytometry is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.
- Previous co-op experience is a plus.
