About the role#
The Social Media Intern supports the digital presence of the Minnesota Wild by managing content creation, scheduling, and daily maintenance for ancillary social media accounts. This role involves representing the brand at community initiatives, foundation events, and game nights to capture moments that connect with fans. You will contribute to consistent, on-brand messaging across platforms to support the organization's community-focused mission.
What you'll do#
- Attend community events, foundation initiatives, player hospital visits, and home games to support brand activation.
- Schedule and post content for ancillary accounts including Wild Gives Back, MN Wild Pup, Wild on 7th, and Hockey Day Minnesota.
- Perform daily maintenance on these accounts to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
- Capture engaging photo and video content at events to share across social platforms.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Film/Digital Cinematography, Creative Writing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with X, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Experience capturing content using cameras or iPhones.
- Skill in editing photo and video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
- Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

- This is a full-time, on-site, paid position with a rolling term.
