About the role#
Middleburg Communities is hiring a Summer Analyst Intern for our Investment Management and Capital Markets teams. This is a paid, full-time, 8-10 week rotational program based at our corporate headquarters. You will work across several business divisions, including investments, acquisitions, property management, and development. This role offers direct exposure to our senior and executive leadership teams.
What you'll do#
- Build financial models in Excel to evaluate historical and future data projections.
- Provide underwriting support for prospective acquisition and development ventures.
- Create investment offering memorandums.
- Assist in preparing investor presentations and reports for the capital markets team.
- Perform property due diligence and market research for the asset management team.
- Analyze performance for operating activities such as leasing and renewals.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior status in a Bachelor's program for Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, specifically in building models and data analysis.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with experience using MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- A self-starter mindset with a strong desire to learn all aspects of the real estate industry.
