About the role#
The Construction Project Engineer Intern role offers a chance to observe and participate in construction management tasks. You will gain insight into the day-to-day activities and communication that occur on a job site. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project management team with planning, scheduling, material procurement, safety, cost control, and quality management.
- Learn about construction site management processes, administrative requirements, and contract administration.
- Use project management software to handle document control, submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and RFIs.
- Communicate daily with project teams, subcontractors, engineers, and inspectors regarding project progress.
- Collect, analyze, and present statistics for reports and research projects.
- Apply advanced technology and software to help complete assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Procore is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written forms.
- A high level of thoroughness and the ability to provide accurate information.
- Reliability and adherence to company attendance policies.
- A professional appearance and a focus on project requirements and expectations.
