About the role#
The Construction Project Engineer Internship offers an opportunity to observe and participate in construction management tasks. You will gain insight into the day-to-day activities and communication required on a job site while working alongside our project teams.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project management team with planning, scheduling, material procurement, safety, cost control, and quality management.
- Learn construction site management processes, administrative requirements, and contract administration practices.
- Use project management software to handle document control, submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and RFIs.
- Communicate daily with project teams, subcontractors, engineers, and inspectors.
- Collect, analyze, and present data for reports and research projects.
- Support the completion of assigned tasks using construction technology and software.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written forms.
- A high level of thoroughness and the ability to provide accurate information.
- Reliability and adherence to company attendance policies.
- A professional appearance and a commitment to accountability.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred. Experience with Procore is also a plus.

- This is a paid, full-time internship with rolling availability.
- Work is on-site.
- Positions are available in Vienna, VA, Richmond, VA, Charlotte, NC, and Orlando, FL.
