About the role#
As a 3D DRAM Photolithography Process Development Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in semiconductor process development. Working within the 3D DRAM Photo team, you will contribute to a dedicated technical project under the mentorship of experienced engineers. You will collaborate across process and equipment teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges and develop innovative solutions that meet product requirements. The internship concludes with a presentation of your project results to technical and leadership teams.
What you'll do#
- Develop and optimize photolithography processes to meet physical and electrical performance requirements.
- Partner with multi-functional process and equipment teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and technology advancement.
- Conduct root-cause and failure-mode analyses to identify process limitations and implement corrective actions.
- Perform statistical analysis of pilot manufacturing and technology development data to support process optimization and decision-making.
- Research and develop innovative solutions for next-generation memory technologies.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical field (must not graduate before September 2027).
- Demonstrated experience with experimental design, data analysis, and scientific or engineering research methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage numerous projects and priorities in a research and development environment.
- Advanced knowledge of statistics, statistical process control, or data-driven process optimization techniques.
- Experience using programming or scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, or JMP is preferred.
- Experience applying AI-enabled analytical tools to improve project execution or engineering workflows is preferred.
- A general understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, with expertise in photolithography or related areas, is preferred.
