About the role#
As a Probe Equipment Engineer intern in Boise, you will coordinate the installation, qualification, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. You will work with cross-functional teams to increase tool availability and optimize performance. This role focuses on using data analytics, automation, and machine learning to solve equipment issues and improve manufacturing efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Drive improvements in equipment availability, reliability, and product quality using data-driven decisions.
- Oversee Tool Installation and Qualification activities.
- Partner with teams to find the root causes of complex equipment issues.
- Analyze manufacturing data with statistical methods.
- Develop scripts, automation, and robotic process automation tools.
- Use AI and machine learning for predictive maintenance and process optimization.
- Maintain equipment documentation, safety compliance, and supplier notifications.
- Demonstrate company core values including innovation, collaboration, and speed.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or automation.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with programming or scripting in Python, SQL, VBA, or MATLAB.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: Experience with equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, or Agentic AI workflows.
