    About the role#

    The DRAM Design Rules team creates and maintains the methodologies and automation that allow for the design and manufacturing of advanced memory technologies. As an intern, you will contribute to the development, validation, and enablement of design rules for next-generation products. You will gain experience with industry-standard EDA tools and AI-supported analytics while working alongside various engineering teams.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the development, documentation, and optimization of semiconductor design rules.
    • Create methodologies, automation solutions, and scripts to improve design productivity.
    • Perform design rule validation and verification using simulation environments and AI-supported frameworks.
    • Work with Design, CAD, Process Integration, and Product Engineering teams to evaluate manufacturability requirements.
    • Support test chip planning and data analysis tasks using AI tools.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • A fundamental understanding of CMOS circuits, semiconductor devices, and manufacturing processes.
    • Experience with programming or scripting in Python, Tcl, or Perl.
    • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work within multi-functional teams.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Boise, Idaho.
    • The position operates on a rolling term basis.
