About the role#
As a Digital Design Engineer Intern, you will work with experienced engineers to develop next-generation ASIC solutions. This role provides hands-on exposure to the full ASIC development lifecycle, including digital, analog, and mixed-signal design. You will contribute to projects while building technical expertise in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and implementation of high-speed digital logic for tester ASICs and memory controller IP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design Verification, Analog Design, Synthesis, Physical Design, and Lab Validation.
- Assist with integrating digital designs alongside custom analog circuitry and third-party IP solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and prepare technical documentation.
- Present technical concepts and project updates to engineering teams.
- Explore AI-enabled design methodologies, such as Generative AI and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
- Learn industry-standard design processes and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a graduation date no earlier than August 2027.
- Understanding of digital logic design, verification methodologies, and high-speed digital interfaces.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages like Python or Linux Shell.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Exposure to analog and mixed-signal circuit concepts, such as PLLs, DLLs, CDRs, CMOS, or CML-based designs.
- Familiarity with semiconductor design tools for synthesis, linting, simulation, formal verification, or implementation.
- Previous academic, research, personal, or internship projects related to digital IC design, computer architecture, or semiconductor technologies.
