Exam Development Unit, Emerging Talent Intern (Fall)

About the role#

The Exam Development Unit at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking an Emerging Talent Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports the personnel testing, selection, and classification unit, which is responsible for researching, developing, and administering assessments for civil service and non-civil service positions. Interns gain exposure to the field of Test and Measurement, including job analysis, report writing, data analysis, and examination administration.

What you'll do#

• Conduct provisional hiring interviews.
• Review test questions and work with subject matter expert panels to evaluate test content.
• Input questions into the computerized testing program and assist with program testing.
• Review resumes to determine candidate eligibility based on education and experience.
• Assist with job analyses and the preparation of notices of examination.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a graduate program with at least a 2.8 GPA.
• Preferred majors include Industrial Organizational Psychology or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Compensation: $21.00 per hour (Graduate).
