About the role#
The Family and Community Partnerships Intern I supports daily operations within Metro Nashville Public Schools. This role involves assisting with student supervision, facilitating enrichment activities, and providing logistical and administrative support. Working under site leadership, the intern helps manage attendance, distributes materials, supports teachers during lessons, and maintains a safe learning environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the planning and execution of the Promising Scholars program and related initiatives.
- Facilitate communication between schools, families, and community partners to foster engagement.
- Support the design and implementation of student retention strategies, including efforts focused on 3rd-grade retention.
- Manage and update supply inventory, coordinating the distribution of materials to schools and families.
- Contribute to the development of program materials, presentations, and reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with staff to analyze data, track outcomes, and ensure alignment with grant and legislative requirements.
- Create graphics and social media content to engage families and highlight program successes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, Public Health, Business Administration, Sociology, Political Science, or Kinesiology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear reports and emails.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review, interpret, and visualize data.
- Strong attention to detail regarding document management and data tracking.
- Relevant experience with children, education, or administrative duties is preferred.
