    About the role#

Our team builds silicon IP for Augmented Reality glasses. We focus on high-performance, low-power hardware for computer vision and image signal processing. As a Design Verification intern on the Silicon Accelerators team, you will help verify this IP. You will work alongside design and methodology engineers to write test benches, run tests, and debug issues. This role provides production-level experience in digital verification.

    What you'll do#

    • Write SystemVerilog test benches to verify digital IP blocks.
    • Build and extend UVM-based components like sequences, drivers, monitors, and scoreboards.
    • Review design specifications to assist in writing verification test plans.
    • Run simulations and debug failures to identify issues in RTL or test benches.
    • Track functional and code coverage, writing directed and constrained-random tests to close gaps.
    • Use Python scripts to automate regressions and improve verification workflows.
    • Present your results during team reviews.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • Coursework or project experience in digital logic design, including logic gates, flip-flops, finite state machines, and timing.
    • Experience with Verilog or SystemVerilog.
    • Programming experience in an object-oriented language such as C++, Java, or SystemVerilog classes.
    • Scripting experience in Python.
    • Intent to return to your degree program after the internship.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain work authorization in the United States.
    • Exposure to UVM or other class-based verification methodologies.
    • Familiarity with verification concepts like constrained-random stimulus, functional coverage, SVA, and scoreboarding.
    • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
    • Hands-on experience with RTL simulators and waveform debugging.
    • A completed project in digital design or verification, such as an FPGA design, processor, or memory controller.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Sunnyvale, California.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Employment: Full-time internship.
    • Compensation: $6,660 to $12,014 per month.
