About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to join the Health and Benefits team within the People and Investments business. You will work alongside consultants to deliver data analytics, financial management, and benchmarking services for our clients. This is a full-time, paid position based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze healthcare claims and utilization data, including cost projections.
- Support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for client projects.
- Assist senior consultants with identifying client needs and implementing strategies.
- Model employee benefit contributions to help meet specific employer objectives.
- Prepare client deliverables such as reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Support the National Survey of Employer-Sponsored Health Plans to create industry benchmarks.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor degree in business, mathematics, statistics, economics, health administration, health policy, or a related field.
- Current enrollment in a college or university with an expected graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
- A preferred minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Permanent, ongoing U.S. work authorization without the need for sponsorship.
- Ability to work from Monday, June 7th through Friday, August 13th, 2027.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
