About the role#
MEMX is looking for a Data Center Operations Intern to support the infrastructure that powers our exchanges. You will work alongside our team to gain hands-on experience with server hardware, network equipment, and data center operations. This is a paid, full-time summer 2027 internship. We do not provide sponsorship for this role.
What you'll do#
- Assist with servers and network equipment under the guidance of the team.
- Help run and organize cables within the data center.
- Support equipment inventory and maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist with routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting.
- Participate in infrastructure projects to learn how we keep systems running reliably.
What you'll need#
- You are a current undergraduate student entering your junior or senior year.
- You are pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- You have an interest in hardware, networking, and hands-on technology problem-solving.
- You possess basic familiarity with computer systems.
- You have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
- You must maintain permanent residence in one of our approved states for remote work during the internship.
Location & details#
- This role is hybrid and requires in-person work in North Bergen, New Jersey, and Midtown Manhattan, New York.
- The schedule includes one day in person at the North Bergen Data Center, two days in person at our Midtown-NYC office, and two remote days per week.
- Approved states for remote work include California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah.
