About the role#
This 11-week summer internship provides a foundation in retail knowledge and store leadership. You will work on projects that impact the business and interact with senior leaders. The program is designed for students who want to pursue a career in store management. During the second half of the internship, you will step into an Intern Team Leader role to manage business results and team engagement.
What you'll do#
- Plan, direct, and supervise daily operations within store departments.
- Mentor and coach team members to help them meet service and sales goals.
- Implement strategies to drive store sales and improve customer service.
- Maintain store appearance, product presentation, and company standards.
- Communicate with customers and team members to ensure efficient service.
- Support your department in managing the P&L and maintaining shrink.
- Promote a safe work environment for all.
- Deliver a final presentation to senior executives at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, ideally in Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management.
- A strong desire to enter a career in store leadership.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Prior retail experience and past leadership roles in work or extracurriculars are strongly preferred.
- Skills in decision making, communication, and building relationships.
- A focus on results and customer service.
