Operational Excellence Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

The Operational Excellence Intern supports the McKesson Canada Specialty Health team by contributing to strategic initiatives, project delivery, and continuous improvement efforts. This role involves working in a multidisciplinary environment to analyze operational data, coordinate project deliverables, and provide insights that inform business decision-making. Interns gain exposure to cross-functional programs and senior stakeholders while assisting with operational transformation.

What you'll do#

• Provide project management support by coordinating tasks, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project artifacts such as RAID logs.
• Follow up with project team members regarding actions, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Support project delivery activities, including testing and hypercare phases.
• Analyze operational metrics, KPIs, and perform structured data analysis to identify trends and root causes.
• Build and maintain dashboards and scorecards using Excel or reporting tools to visualize performance.
• Document current workflows, identify process inefficiencies, and track improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement process enhancements and support business reporting.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Data Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
• Experience developing PowerPoint presentations for business or project updates.
• Experience using Microsoft Word for professional documentation, reports, and meeting notes.

• Term: Fall 2026 (September 8th through December 31st).
• Modality: Hybrid.
• This is a full-time, paid internship.
