About the role#
The McAdams Internship Program offers students the chance to work with professionals across our core service areas, including civil engineering, land planning, transportation, landscape architecture, geomatics, environmental services, and construction administration. You will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle from early design through final deliverables while contributing to work that supports our clients and communities.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members to support real project deliverables and contribute to meaningful outcomes.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and team meetings to help shape project direction.
- Gain hands-on experience with industry tools, workflows, and best practices.
- Shadow mentors and team leaders to understand how projects move from concept to completion.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program related to civil engineering, geomatics, environmental science, landscape architecture, planning, construction management, or another aligned field.
- Strong communication and organization skills to manage tasks and support project teams.
- A collaborative mindset and comfort working in a team-oriented environment.
- Curiosity and initiative.

- Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- The role is on-site.
