About the role#
This internship is a partnership between Mass General Brigham and the EMK school. The program provides opportunities for current high school students, specifically those associated with the Boston PIC or community partners in under-resourced areas, to explore careers in a healthcare environment. This is a temporary, on-site position.
What you'll do#
Responsibilities vary based on the specific internship placement. You will gain exposure to the healthcare field while developing professional skills. You are expected to follow directions and maintain a willingness to learn throughout the program.

- Enrollment in high school with passing grades and good standing.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a healthcare career.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Strong time management and oral communication skills.
- Ability to take and follow direction.
- Commitment to the minimum required program hours per week.
Location & details#
- Location: 399 Revolution Drive, Somerville, Massachusetts.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay Range: $17.36 to $23.80 per hour.
- Physical Requirements: The role involves constant sitting, talking, hearing, and use of vision. It requires occasional standing, walking, and lifting or carrying between 20 and 35 pounds.
