About the role#
This internship program is a partnership between MGH and the EMK school. It provides opportunities for students to explore careers within a healthcare environment. The program is designed for current high school students associated with the Boston PIC or community partners serving areas with limited resources.
What you'll do#
Your specific duties will vary depending on the internship placement. You will gain exposure to hospital operations and professional healthcare settings while working alongside our staff.
What you'll need#
- Completion of some high school coursework.
- Passing grades in school and good academic standing.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in healthcare.
- Reliability, punctuality, and good time management skills.
- Strong oral communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
- A willingness to learn and the ability to meet the minimum weekly hour commitment.
Location & details#
This is a paid, temporary, on-site position located in Somerville, Massachusetts. The pay range for this role is $17.36 to $23.80 per hour.
