About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity for a PhD candidate to join the Optics team. You will contribute to the design, verification, and validation of highly integrated high-speed optical components, working across the full product lifecycle from inception to new product introduction (NPI).
What you'll do#
- Translate product requirements into technical specifications.
- Perform photonics device modeling using commercial simulation tools.
- Utilize design automation EDA software for product development.
- Collaborate with the team on hardware validation, system-level testing, and data analysis.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong understanding of photonic device and semiconductor physics.
- Practical experience with industry-standard photonics simulation tools.
- Experience with Si/CMOS/MEMS process technologies relevant to the fabrication and integration of electrical and optical devices.
- Proven design and development experience.
