    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity for a PhD candidate to join the Optics team. You will contribute to the design, verification, and validation of highly integrated high-speed optical components, working across the full product lifecycle from inception to new product introduction (NPI).

    What you'll do#

    • Translate product requirements into technical specifications.
    • Perform photonics device modeling using commercial simulation tools.
    • Utilize design automation EDA software for product development.
    • Collaborate with the team on hardware validation, system-level testing, and data analysis.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Engineering.
    • Strong understanding of photonic device and semiconductor physics.
    • Practical experience with industry-standard photonics simulation tools.
    • Experience with Si/CMOS/MEMS process technologies relevant to the fabrication and integration of electrical and optical devices.
    • Proven design and development experience.

    • Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Rolling.
    • Note: This position may require access to technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
