About the role#
The Central Engineering AMS Signal Integrity team manages interconnect design rules for AMS IPs. You will work on floorplan studies, RDL design, package routing, and PCB layout guidelines. The team collaborates with IP design, physical design, and package teams to ensure system performance for AI and cloud data center applications.
What you'll do#
- Write Python or similar scripts to automate SI/PI simulation workflows.
- Create and maintain automated design rule models for floorplan, RDL, bump patterns, interposer, and package routing.
- Run 2D and 3D electromagnetic modeling and simulation using tools like Ansys 3D Layout or Cadence Sigrity.
- Process simulation results to extract metrics, write summary reports, and help with design decisions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electromagnetics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Knowledge of Signal Integrity fundamentals including transmission line, electromagnetic, and microwave theory.
- Understanding of analog and digital circuit basics.
- Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data processing and automation.
- Experience with SPICE simulation tools for circuit-level signal and power integrity analysis.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team.

- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: 30 to 41 CAD per hour.
