Analog/RF Design Engineer Intern - Master's Degree

About the role#

Marvell is seeking an Analog/RF Design Engineer Intern to join the Broadband Analog group. This team designs physical layer ICs for high-speed optical fiber data communication, including transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) and drivers for data center and telecom markets. You will contribute to the development of optical interface chips that support AI, cloud computing, and high-speed network architectures.

What you'll do#

• Design and verify CMOS and BiCMOS circuits for high-speed broadband ICs.
• Perform active-circuit design.
• Develop leading-edge transimpedance amplifiers using SiGe BiCMOS and advanced CMOS FinFET technologies.
• Design high-performance broadband analog circuits for optical front-end receivers.
• Design various analog circuits, including linear regulators, AGC loops, current/voltage sensors, and bandgaps.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in an MSc. or PhD program in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Deep understanding of fundamentals, including transistor-level design, device physics, and control/feedback loop stability analysis.
• Solid experience using EDA CAD tools and performing analog custom layout.
• Experience measuring IC performance and debugging designs to correlate simulations with physical measurements.
• Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Direct experience in high-speed broadband circuits, automatic gain-control loops, or high-precision analog circuits (including DAC/ADC) is considered an asset.
