About the role#
This full-time summer internship provides on-site experience across resort operations at Marriott Vacations Worldwide locations in Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage. You will rotate through key departments including housekeeping, food and beverage, and recreation. The program includes leadership development through executive sessions, department shadowing, and a collaborative project.
What you'll do#
- Housekeeping: Learn villa cleaning essentials, perform core cleaning tasks, conduct room inspections, and manage inventory and supply ordering.
- Food & Beverage: Rotate through various outlets, gaining experience in front and back of house roles such as server, food prep, cook, expeditor, and bar staff.
- Recreation: Promote resort facilities, lead activities like trivia and pool games, and assist in the setup and execution of special events.
- Professional Development: Participate in sessions with senior executives, shadow different departments, conduct interviews with leaders, and collaborate on a project.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a college degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and reaching overhead or below knee level.
- Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the specific role.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May - August).
- Modality: Fully on-site in Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage, California.
- Compensation: Paid internship ($16.90 - $23.05 per hour based on location and department).
- Note: Housing and relocation are the responsibility of the student.
