About the role#

The Capital Markets - XFA 1, Chicago Board Options Exchange Intern supports the trading desk by ensuring efficient operational workflows and accurate market data analysis. This role provides exposure to core services including market making, clearing, and risk management, building foundational knowledge critical to the firm’s trading and operational functions. Interns participate in a structured program that includes professional growth, cross-functional collaboration, and industry insight.

What you'll do#

• Support trading desk operations and conduct market data analysis.
• Assist with clearing, hedging, and investment solution processes.
• Coordinate agency execution and transaction workflows to maintain smooth trade operations.
• Contribute to reporting and documentation efforts for commodity markets.
• Learn core services including market making, clearing, and risk management.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
• A genuine interest in the program’s departmental tracks.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship. This includes F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa holders, as well as individuals on CPT or OPT.
