    About the role#

    Safety & Industrial Hygiene Interns and Co-ops play a critical role in maintaining high standards for protecting people, the environment, and the communities where we operate. You will work alongside experienced professionals as a contributing member of a team, supporting health, safety, and security planning and compliance activities.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the implementation of health, safety, and security programs.
    • Conduct facility audits and participate in incident investigations.
    • Develop and deliver employee training programs.
    • Support industrial hygiene initiatives, including equipment design, implementation, and maintenance.
    • Participate in emergency preparedness and response activities.
    • Manage compliance with government regulations, including governmental inspections and agency interactions.
    • Serve as a liaison with other company business units and complete safety-related projects, including writing and submitting project reports.

    What you'll need#

    • Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree or higher program in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability, Fire Protection & Safety, or a related field.
    • Strong academic performance.
    • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, indefinite basis without the need for visa sponsorship.
    • A valid driver's license, as some positions may involve travel.
    • Physical ability to safely ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs and ladders, and to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
