Intern/Co-op - Midstream Logistics and Storage Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering (Fall 2026)

About the role#

The Logistics and Storage (L&S) intern/co-op program is designed to develop future technical and leadership talent within the engineering profession. Interns work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in the five phases of the Marathon Project Management Process: Conceptual, Feasibility, Definition, Implementation, and Start-up/Close-out.

What you'll do#

• Develop project scopes and technical designs.
• Provide engineering oversight and project documentation.
• Assist with cost estimating and schedule development.
• Evaluate and summarize bid sets.
• Perform construction supervision and coordinate with operations groups.
• Demonstrate safety leadership.
• Travel to construction sites (ranging from 15-45% of the time).

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong academic performance.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, indefinite basis without visa sponsorship.
• A valid driver's license.
• Preference for candidates available for multiple work terms.
