Intern/Co-op - Logistics & Storage Engineering (L&SE) Project Controls (Fall 2026)

About the role#

The Logistics & Storage Engineering (L&SE) team provides design and project management services to support the maintenance and growth of Marathon’s Logistics & Storage organization. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on a portfolio of projects ranging from tens of thousands to millions of dollars. Interns will gain exposure to the Marathon Project Management Process (MPMP), which includes conceptual, feasibility, definition, implementation, and close-out/start-up phases.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with L&SE Project Engineers to advance projects through the five phases of the MPMP.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, including integrating individual schedules into the overall project plan.
• Identify key project milestones and perform resource loading and leveling.
• Provide regular progress updates and prepare periodic reports for management.
• Learn and apply industry-standard Project Controls procedures.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Accounting, or Finance. Other business-related majors may be considered.
• Strong academic performance.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, indefinite basis without the need for visa sponsorship.
• A valid driver's license, as some projects may require travel to construction sites.
