About the role#
This actuarial co-op program provides students with exposure to core insurance disciplines. You will work within one of the largest actuarial teams in North America, gaining insight into industry standards while developing your technical and professional skills. The role includes opportunities to participate in presentations and build a professional network.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to key actuarial disciplines including pricing, valuation, modeling, risk management, asset liability management, and experience analytics.
- Work alongside professional actuaries to learn industry practices.
- Develop technical and soft skills by participating in presentations.
- Build a professional network within the company.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university degree program in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities through prior roles or extracurricular activities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present information to various audiences.
