About the role#
This internship with the Department of Investigations focuses on sensitive and confidential matters involving the conduct of players, umpires, and baseball personnel. You will work on issues related to sports compliance and internal policy enforcement.
What you'll do#
- Support investigations into allegations regarding performance-enhancing substances, sports gambling, domestic violence, and other misconduct.
- Gather and analyze public information from sources like government records, news reports, and social media.
- Monitor court filings and social media for relevant updates.
- Prepare timely reports and draft memorandums following interviews.
- Organize and review documents on a document review platform.
- Secure and preserve data gathered during investigations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage tasks with time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.

- This is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, New York.
- The role is paid at $20.00 per hour.
- This position follows a rolling term.
