About the role#
Maher Duessel is seeking an Audit Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This paid, full-time position provides exposure to various areas of audit work within the accounting industry. Interns will work in the firm office or at client premises, which requires varying working hours and potential overtime as determined by the engagement team leader.
What you'll do#
- Perform detailed testing of transactions, including cash receipts, cash disbursements, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and schedules for clients.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore or Junior status working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, or a degree with sufficient coursework to qualify for CPA licensure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong dedication to teamwork.
- Integrity within the professional environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Reliable transportation, as work on client premises requires the use of a personal vehicle.
