About the role#
This position is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the security of the company’s network, data, and computer systems while ensuring compliance with internal security policies. You will help research methods for regulatory compliance and assist in coordinating activities related to audits and incident responses.
What you'll do#
- Monitor security systems and analyze alerts.
- Participate in system and end-user security incident management and response.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage the day-to-day operations of security solutions.
- Create and update dashboards to provide relevant security information.
- Document security systems, procedures, and processes.
- Research emerging security threats and regulatory requirements.
- Follow ITIL best practices for change and incident reviews.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Information Security.
- Previous experience in a Security Operations Centre and conducting security investigations.
- Strong knowledge of Security Incident Management, as well as vulnerability and penetration processes.
- Solid understanding of IT, including system administration skills across Windows, MacOS, Linux, and mobile operating systems.
- Strong understanding of networking principles, common internet protocols, and technologies such as SaaS, web applications, databases, firewalls, VPN, EDR, and MDM.
- Professional designations such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or Security+ are considered an asset.
