The Desktop Support Co-op is a hands-on, internal customer-focused role. You will provide daily support to employees, ensuring they are equipped and able to perform their roles effectively.
What you'll do#
- Install, support, and manage desktop systems, including analyzing logs to identify potential issues.
- Resolve technical issues, provide timely updates, and manage follow-ups using the ticketing system.
- Perform system and software updates, configuration changes, and audits while documenting system configurations.
- Monitor systems to verify the integrity and availability of hardware and verify scheduled jobs.
- Document internal procedures and create knowledgebase articles for end-users.
- Provide support outside of normal business hours as required.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science program.
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity, prioritize needs, and deliver results in an agile environment.
- General understanding of Networking Fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Strong self-starter attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with strong time management and documentation abilities.

- Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: Hybrid (ability to commute to the office for at least 2 days per week).
- Commitment: Full-time.
