About the role#
Magellan Aerospace is hiring a Quality Engineer Co-op for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position based in Middletown, Ohio. You will work within the Quality Department to support operational tasks related to planning, disseminating, and controlling quality requirements.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the development, documentation, and maintenance of inspection, testing, and evaluation methods.
- Learn to devise sampling plans for production and repair activities.
- Compile, tabulate, and summarize inspection data for analysis.
- Facilitate data collection by creating forms and other tools.
- Assist with conducting internal audits as assigned.
- Review design development drawings to evaluate inspectability.
- Support the maintenance of programs related to 6S initiatives and quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO 14001.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Understanding of quality requirements, specifications, and the operation of inspection equipment.
- Ability to review design development drawings.
- Familiarity with quality standards like AS9100 and ISO 14001, as well as 6S initiatives.
