About the role#
The Gym Sales Associate Intern will drive revenue and build relationships at our basketball training facility in Brooklyn. This role focuses on lead generation, sales, and promoting our training programs, camps, and clinics. You will gain hands-on experience in sports business development and customer relationship management.
What you'll do#
- Promote and sell basketball training packages, camps, clinics, leagues, and facility rentals.
- Engage with prospective members, parents, and athletes to identify their needs.
- Generate leads through in-person interactions, phone calls, email outreach, and networking.
- Follow up with clients to convert inquiries into registrations and bookings.
- Identify opportunities to upsell existing clients and support retention.
- Assist with local marketing initiatives and community outreach.
- Build relationships with coaches, athletes, and local organizations.
- Represent the facility professionally during tours and events.
- Track sales activity and work toward individual and team goals.
What you'll need#
- A self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset and a desire to develop sales skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to explain services and close sales.
- A friendly, approachable demeanor.
- An interest in basketball, athletic training, and youth sports culture.
- The ability to manage multiple leads and client interactions.
- Comfort learning tools such as Mindbody, Google Workspace, and CRM software.
- A reliable, proactive, and competitive approach to work.
- Availability for a non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program (for college credit) or recent graduate status.

- Commitment: Part-time, 20 hours per week.
- Term: Rolling (October 2026 to December 2026).
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship, though college credit is available for current undergraduate students.
