About the role#
This internship offers a chance to combine pharmaceutical interests with business consulting. You will work within the healthcare insurance space to understand how employers manage pharmacy benefits, formulary coverage, and clinical rules. You will build relationships with consultants, pharmacists, and other interns while gaining insight into the pharmacy benefit management industry.
What you'll do#
- Work side-by-side with consultants who specialize in pharmacy benefit consulting.
- Research top medication drivers in the US that impact employers.
- Use analytic tools to develop reports, dashboards, and complex data analysis.
- Learn the complexities of PBM contracting and negotiations.
- Collaborate with other interns and professionals to achieve project outcomes.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a pharmacy program, with preference for incoming PharmD P2 or P3 students.
- Experience using PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
- A strong project management skillset.
