About the role#
The Head Resident acts as a bridge between students living on campus and Luther Seminary staff. You will live on campus and provide leadership by maintaining a positive living environment, sharing information on seminary policies, and offering referrals to support services. This role is part of the on-call team responsible for responding to after-hours emergencies.
What you'll do#
- Plan and carry out community-building activities each semester.
- Serve as an active and respectful community leader.
- Help students submit maintenance and helpdesk requests.
- Act as the primary point of contact for health concerns and provide referrals when needed.
- Coordinate any extended time away in advance with the on-call team.
- Oversee housing orientations, check-ins, and check-outs for residents.
- Maintain positive relationships with campus departments including Facilities, Maintenance, and Student Affairs.
What you'll need#
- Maintain full-time student status at Luther Seminary in good academic and behavioral standing.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across different cultures.
- General knowledge of Luther Seminary services, policies, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and protect confidential student information.
- Availability during academic breaks and peak operational periods.

- This position is located in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
- This is an on-site, full-time student position.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling term.
