About the role#
LPA is hiring a Structural Design Intern to join our engineering team in Dallas. You will work within an integrated group of architects, engineers, and planners on a variety of projects, including education, recreation, and healthcare facilities. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members across different disciplines throughout the design process.
- Support Project Engineers and Project Managers with structural design tasks for various building types and systems.
- Conduct research on new design and analysis methods for upcoming projects.
- Participate in mentorship programs, software training, and internal education sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering.
- A commitment to working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- An open mind and a desire to learn.
- A focus on building a long-term professional career.
- Familiarity with CAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.

- Compensation: $21 to $26 per hour.
