About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing high-volume travel centers. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn facility operations, team management, and customer service. The program covers store, fuel, food, and truck care operations. It is designed to provide real-world application of skills and mentorship from industry professionals.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Develop business acumen by learning how to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
- Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
- Gain experience delivering customer service and resolving issues.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Understand and help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and leaders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to navigate computer programs and technology tools.
- Willingness to learn in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move around the facility.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
