About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel center operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn how to manage facilities, lead teams, and provide customer service. The program is designed to build your skills in store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Learn to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
- Develop skills in team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Gain experience in delivering customer service and resolving issues.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Understand and help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, marketing, operations management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to talk, hear, move around, see clearly, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to learn by doing and interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to navigate computer programs and technology tools.
