About the role#
This 11-week internship offers hands-on experience in managing travel center operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn the daily requirements of running food service, fuel, and truck care departments. The program focuses on building your professional skills through real-world tasks and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Build business skills by learning how to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
- Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
- Deliver customer service and resolve issues as they arise.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and department leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program, specifically in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Comfort interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to navigate computer programs, systems, and technology tools.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and moving around the facility.

- Location: Valley, Nebraska.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
