About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel center operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn how to run store, fuel, food, and truck care departments. The program focuses on building your professional skills and preparing you for a career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Train across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Learn how to drive sales, manage costs, and support store profitability.
- Practice team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Deliver customer service and resolve issues as they arise.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory, and operational tasks.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on projects with other interns and company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to navigate computer programs and technology tools.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, move around, and communicate clearly during daily tasks.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
