About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel centers, including food service and truck care operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn about facility management, team leadership, and customer service. The program focuses on applying classroom knowledge to real-world operations to prepare you for a career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care departments.
- Learn how to drive sales, manage costs, and support store profitability.
- Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining operational standards.
- Gain experience in team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Handle customer service needs and resolve issues as they arise.
- Help enforce company policies, safety standards, and compliance procedures.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project alongside other interns and company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program, specifically in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to interact confidently with team members and customers.
- Proficiency with computer programs and technology tools used in daily operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move around the facility to perform duties.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
